Yesterday I posted my account of the 2011 The Makeup Show in Los Angeles
… and now here is Makeup to Go’s contributing Blogstress En Español, Delia, with her wrap up; la Exposición de Maquillaje de Los Angeles 2011

Things were very hectic for the MTG team this weekend. In between Oscar Clients and Bridal clients, we still managed to squeeze in some time to visit the Make-Up Show in L.A. There were so many new and exciting products as well as great information and education.
The morning was started by browsing the various vendors on the show room floor. There were some amazing deals! It was nice to see returning vendors – Make Up Forever, OCC, Smashbox Cosmetics, Inglot – as well as new vendors Yves Saint Laurent and Kevyn Aucoin. Almost all of the vendors had a “show special” of some sort. Kevyn Aucoin had some amazing prices. Their eyelash curler, which normally retails for about $20.00, was half off! Auraline Beauty had great deals on make-up bags and accessories. They had clear make-up bags for as low as $5.00!
I was very excited to hear YSL would be at the show. I was even more excited when I heard they had started a professional discount program and would be enrolling artists at the show. When I arrived at their booth I found out that they would NOT be starting a professional discount program nor did they intend to anytime soon. They did however give a %20 discount on all of their products. If you are a big fan of their Touché Eclat like I am, this discount comes in handy!
I did manage to squeeze in one forum and that was keynote speaker Maurice Stein’s A Career in Make-Up. Mr. Stein, the creator and founder of Cinema Secrets, discussed his techniques for becoming a better artist and how to build a stronger career. Mr. Stein was a great speaker and started taking questions from the audience before the forum officially started sharing his experience with the attendees. My day was complete when I took a picture with this industry icon.
I will review some of the products I purchased at the show soon!
